Terms and Conditions

These are the simple rules for using YouTube Video Download. We kept them short and clear so you know what to expect from us and what we ask from you.

Agreeing to these terms

By using this site, you agree to these terms. That includes pasting a link, picking a quality or just browsing the pages.

If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site. That's completely okay, and you can always come back later if things change.

What our service does

Our tool helps with YouTube video download for personal use. You paste a YouTube link, tap the button, and the tool looks the video up right away. It then shows you the title, the length and a list of qualities to choose from.

You can pick an MP4 video in 144p, 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p or 1080p. Every video quality includes sound, and you see its file size before you tap it. You can also choose MP3 audio at 320, 256, 192, 128 or 64 kbps.

When you tap a quality, the file opens in a new browser tab, straight from YouTube's own video servers. We don't host any files, and we don't keep copies of anything you save.

Personal, non-commercial use

The site is meant for your own personal use. Think of saving a cooking video to watch offline in the kitchen, or keeping a song you have the right to listen to on a long bus ride.

Please don't use the site, or anything you save with it, for business purposes. That means no selling files, no reuploading them for money and no building a paid product on top of our tool.

Copyright and your responsibility

Videos and music on YouTube belong to the people who made them. You are responsible for what you choose to save, so please only download content you are allowed to keep.

You should also follow YouTube's own terms of service. If you're unsure whether you may save a video, the safest choice is not to download it, or to ask the creator first.

  • Videos you made and uploaded yourself
  • Videos in the public domain
  • Videos shared under a licence that allows saving them
  • Videos where the owner has given you permission

Things you must not do

We want the site to stay quick and friendly for everyone. To keep it that way, please don't misuse it. If someone breaks these rules, we may block their access without warning.

  • Don't use the site to break any law where you live
  • Don't send automated or mass requests with bots, scripts or other tools
  • Don't try to hack, overload or disrupt the site or its security
  • Don't copy, resell or rebrand our service as your own
  • Don't use the site to download content you have no right to save

No connection to YouTube or Google

YouTube Video Download is an independent site. We are not part of YouTube or Google, and they do not support, sponsor or approve us in any way.

The names YouTube and Google belong to their owners. We mention them only to explain what our tool works with.

Third-party content

The videos, songs, titles and thumbnails you see through our tool come from YouTube and its creators, not from us. We don't check, edit or control that content, and we are not responsible for what it contains.

We also rely on outside services to run the site, such as Cloudflare for hosting and security, and Google Analytics for anonymous visit statistics. Those services have their own terms and privacy rules.

Our own content and design

The text, layout, design and logo of this site are ours. You're welcome to read them, share a link to a page or quote a short piece with credit.

Please don't copy the whole site, its pages or its design to use somewhere else without asking us first.

No warranty

We work hard to keep the tool running smoothly, but we offer it "as is" and "as available." We can't promise it will always work, be free of mistakes or suit every need.

Some videos simply can't be saved. This is usually because of how YouTube handles them, not something we can fix.

  • Private, age-restricted or members-only videos
  • Videos that were removed or are blocked in your country
  • Live streams that are still running
  • Playlists, where only the one video in your link is saved

Limitation of liability

The site is free, and you use it at your own risk. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using it, or from not being able to use it.

This includes problems with your device, lost files, missed downloads, or any trouble that comes from saving content you didn't have the right to keep.

Changes and availability of the service

We may update the tool, add or remove features, or pause the site for repairs at any time. Sometimes changes on YouTube's side can also stop things from working for a while.

We'll always try to get things back up quickly, but we can't promise the site will be available every moment of every day.

Copyright complaints

If you own a video or song and believe our site is being used in a way that harms your rights, please reach out through our Contact page. We take these messages seriously and act quickly.

Because we don't store any files, we can't remove a video from YouTube itself. We can still look into how our tool is being used and take reasonable steps. To help us respond fast, please include the details below.

  • Your name and how we can reach you
  • The YouTube link to the content in question
  • A short explanation of why you believe your rights are affected
  • A statement that the information you give is true

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add a feature or the law changes. The newest version will always be on this page.

If you keep using the site after an update, that means you accept the new terms. It's a good idea to check back now and then.

If anything here is unclear or you have a question, just send us a message through our Contact page and we'll be happy to help.
